These pretzels are making me….

Ah, chocolate – afternoon saviour, welcome gift, comfort food and enemy of the hips. 

As a child I was into salt and sour from the word go.

Put a delectable chocolate bar in front of me, next to a jar of olives, and I’d be spitting out the last pip before you asked me to choose. So, you can imagine my surprise when I acknowledged my first craving for a cocoa treat!

Thanks to an evil colleague (you know who you are), I now find myself anticipating my next meeting with a crunchy chocolate-coated pretzel. Sweet yet salty baked goods – what in the name of Willy Wonka were the inventors of chocolate pretzels thinking? But, who cares. If you ask me, they discovered gold.

Where can you find a chocolate pretzel, you ask? Look no further than the Chocolate Box. The walls are stacked full of unique treats. One pack for Mama, one for me, some of this for Papa, a little more for me!

If you’re not into chocolate, the cinnamon almonds are also exquisite. Not too sweet, not too strong, but dangerously addictive.

I thank you, Chocolate Box, for reintroducing the concept of chocolate to a sceptic like me. If only Johnny Depp could hand deliver those pretzels to us, huh?
